Fran Hamilton
Fran Hamilton developed the Hands-On products based on her twenty years of "hands-on" classroom experience. However, these products would not exist without the valuable help of Marnie Hauff, co-author of The Activity Book, and Michael Hamilton, creator of the icons and illustrator of Hands-On English.
Marnie Hauff
Marnie Hauff, who holds a B.A. from Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio, has written and edited educational materials for more than thirty years. In addition, for the past six years she has worked at St. Louis Children's Hospital as school liaison for children with cancer.
Michael Hamilton
Michael Hamilton, illustrator of Hands-On English and designer of the icons that are integral to all Portico Books products, is Fran Hamilton's elder son. He holds a B.A. in architecture from the University of Kansas and a Master of Chinese Medicine from the Tai Hsuan Foundation in Honolulu. He currently teaches acupuncture at the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a licensed acupuncturist practicing at the Honolulu Medical Group.
